Feedback This article has generated a lot of fun email, most of it from people in The Flash Community who think I'm dead wrong
If you think about it - please try - the web's multimedia interface makes it possible to move a step forward in reaching people across the world - why not make your site interesting? What's wrong with a little (splash screen) intro? If the viewer doesn't want to sit through the intro most sites allow the viewer to 'skip intro'
Just because you have problems using and understanding Flash doesn't mean it's wrong or evil

MoveOn.org: Democracy in Action
Millions of Americans now share a feeling that something pretty basic has gone wrong in our country and that some important American values are being placed at risk
I'm convinced that one of the reasons that we didn't have a better public debate before the Iraq War started is because so many of the impressions that the majority of the country had back then turn out to have been completely wrong
Leaving aside for the moment the question of how these false impressions got into the public's mind, it might be healthy to take a hard look at the ones we now know were wrong and clear the air so that we can better see exactly where we are now and what changes might need to be made
Now, of course, everybody knows that every single one of these impressions was just dead wrong
Unfortunately, here too, every single one of these impressions turned out to be wrong
So obviously I was wrong: changing all the president's advisers didn't work as a way of changing the policy
Earlier, I mentioned the feeling many have that something basic has gone wrong
And that view is both wrong and fundamentally un-American

Wrong: Some Scientifically Inaccurate Claims Concerning Cosmology ...
Easy to understand 'debunking' of some common misconceptions about cosmology and
relativity and why they are wrong.
Original by Chris Hillman (Last modified by Chris Hillman, 31 Jan 2001) This page is provided for the benefit of three kinds of people: Members of the general public who may have encountered some of the claims I list below and want to know why scientists are so confident they are wrong
Since many of these claims "aren't even wrong", to use the caustic phrase of Wolfgang Pauli--- by which he meant an 'argument' too vague to be susceptible to a reasoned counterargument--- it is generally difficult to give a point by point rebuttal of every such claim
For a detailed explanation of what is wrong with these models (which are also discussed in just about every cosmology textbook), look for Ned Wright's explanation of why these models are in disagreement with astronomical observations
By the way, Gold was wrong about the steady state but years later he turned out to spectacularly right about his proposed explanation of then-mysterious objects called 'pulsars': according to Gold, these are rapidly spinning neutron stars, an astrophysical object which had been predicted by Chandrasekhar many years before, but which noone (except Chandra and a few others) really seemed to take seriously

JobHuntersBible.com: Test & Advice Sites - Career Tests
From Richard Bolles', author of "What Color is Your Parachute," comes a guide to
online career tests, as well as advice in selecting career tests.
On many online (and offline) tests, if you answer even two questions inaccurately, you will get completely wrong results and recommendations
I know countless sad stories about people whose lives were sent down a completely wrong path by test 'results' that they believed when they shouldn't have
Treat no test outcome as 'gospel'; reject the summary the test gives you, if it just seems dead wrong to you
There is a sense in which all tests tend toward one unvarying result: Because they deal in categories, they don't really tell you what's unique about you, but rather they tend to end up saying 'you are an ENFP, ' or 'you are an AES, ' or you are a 'Blue.' It's 'a category they're talking about, but I like to think of it as a 'tribe, – you are lumped with a lot of other people – and sometimes it is even the wrong tribe
