Giorgio Barba was born in Gallipoli (Le) in 1964. In 1987 he graduated in Modern Italian Literature at the University of Lecce, the town where he lives now. After a few years at the I.P.S.S.C. in Ruffano, he is now teaching at the I.P.S.I.A (High School) in Gallipoli.
He is the editor of the literary review "L'Uomo e il Mare" and the editor-in-chief of the literary magazine "Il Leccio".
He has already published a plenty of literary and artistic articles as well as reviews and some collections of poems including "Oasi" (1987), "Lo Spaventapasseri" (1989), "Diario di un militare" (1990), "Arabeschi di un sogno"(1990), "Il profumo della pantera" (1992). He has also edited the
Antologia dei "Poeti de L'Uomo e il Mare". One of his dramatic plays "Fratello nemico" (1994) has been performed in Ruffano and Sannicola.
He is now experiencing multimedial poetry.
