Raymond Burns è famoso per essere uno dei fondatori di The Damned. Può essere indubbiamente considerato uno dei più creativi e particolari personaggi del movimento punk. il suo primo album da solista "Woman And Captains First" è stato registrato nel 1982. Nel 1994 ha pubblicato il suo migliore album dal titolo "Live at the Milky Way".
