Plathelmintes, Turbellaria, Tricladida

Turbellaria, Tricladida, Planaridae, Atrioplanaria morisii Benazzi e Gourbault, 1977 - This species is remarkably adapted to the cave life and is a true "troglobite", without eyes and completely colourless. It live in the bottom of the groundwater pools in the Bossea Cave; this species has been described for the "Tana di S. Luigi" ("Lair of St. Louis") (112 Pi/CN) where it's easy to find it, on the contrary in the Bossea Cave (where has been captured the specimen in the photos) it is extremely rare. Real dimensions: about 10 mm.
