MARINA DEL REY, CA e VANCOUVER, BC- Lions Gate Films ha iniziato le riprese del film drammatico CONFIDENCE ed ha aggiunto il nome di Andy Garcia al già prestigioso cast che comprende Dustin Hoffman, vincitore di due premi Oscar, Edward Burns, Rachel Weisz, Paul Giamatti e Morris Chestnut, come annunciato oggi dal presidente delle produzioni della Lions Gate Film, Michael Paseornek.
CONFIDENCE diretto dall’acclamato regista James Foley (Fear, Glengarry Glen Ross), ha iniziato la produzione a Los Angeles all’inizio del mese ed ha già generato notevoli aspettative per l’annunciata uscita prevista per il mese di dicembre.
La Lions Gate Film presenterà il progetto ai compratori internazionali alla prossima edizione del mercato del cinema di Cannes.
Completano il cast stellare Brian Van Holt, Luis Guzman e Donald Logue.
Michael Paseornek, Marc Butan, vice presidente delle produzioni Lions Gate e Michael Ohoven producono il film, realizzato insieme a Cinerenta, il partner finanziario tedesco della Lions Gate.

Scritto da Doug Joung, CONFIDENCE narra la storia di Jake (Burns) un genio della truffa che  inconsapevolmente alleggerisce di un migliaio di dollari quello che si rivela essere il contabile di uno dei più importanti boss del crimine. Per rimediare Jake si offre di compiere un grande colpo, ma lui e la sua squadra dovranno essere sicuri di stare sempre un passo avanti sia dai criminali che dai poliziotti per riuscire ad arrivare a saldare il loro debito.

Los Angeles production underway on Lions Gate Films' Confidence

Andy Garcia Joins Edward Burns, Dustin Hoffman And Rachel Weisz In "A List" Cast

MARINA DEL REY, CA and VANCOUVER, BC, April 23 /CNW/ - Lions Gate Films has commenced principal photography on the powerful suspense drama CONFIDENCE and has added Andy Garcia to an all-star ensemble cast that includes two-time Oscar winner DustinHoffman, Edward Burns, Rachel Weisz, Paul Giamatti and Morris Chestnut, it was announced today by Michael Paseornek, President of Production for Lions Gate Films. CONFIDENCE, directed by acclaimed filmmaker James Foley (Fear, Glengarry Glen Ross), began production in Los Angeles earlier this month and is already generating strong buzz for its scheduled December release. Lions Gate International will be introducing the project to international buyers at the upcoming Cannes film market. 

The top-caliber cast is rounded out by Brian Van Holt, Luis Guzman and Donal Logue. Paseornek, Lions Gate Executive Vice President of Production Marc Butan and Michael Ohoven are producing the film, which is being produced at the corporate level in conjunction with Lions Gate's German financial partner Cinerenta.

Written by Doug Jung, CONFIDENCE is the story of a master con man (Burns) who unwittingly swindles thousands of dollars from a major crime kingpin's accountant. After offering to pull off an even bigger con in return, Jake and his crew must stay one step ahead of both the criminals and the cops to finally settle their debt.
