Stan, I suggest not burning single-layer +R discs. They are generally incompatible with most players. Use the +R only for dual-layer discs. You've no reason for concern, yet

But the Pioneer DVR-K05 is an itty-bitty slot-loading thing, made mostly for laptops and the like, and also peddled by a rather (apparently) half-ass vendor with a half-ass conversion kit for upgrading iMacs, G4 Cubes, and stuff.
