I have had my 510H since new, and I have used it daily. It has worked perfectly all these years. The problem I have now is that it WON'T recognize 16X blank DVDs???. I know I read somewhere in this thread. That the drive is only 15X?

I have the Pioneer DVR-510H. Used it/Loved it for my biz PerfectPopcorn.com but the damn DVD drive went out on me. I ordered a replacement DVD drive but after installing, I'm now getting a Firmware error when the machine boots.

I'm using my SlingBox with a Pioneer 5100H DVR. All the main keys are emulated in the Sling remote BUT the 'STOP REC' key ! If i hit the 'Record' key the unit strats recording but then there is no way to stop it since the 'STOP' ket

I located a DVR-109 from an Apple reseller of all things. It "appears" that it will work. There is a two wire connector that I found in the original drive that has no equivilent on the new drive. So I let it be.

I have located (finally) a DVR-109 drive. My big question, what kind of rewiring am I looking at? Is this a relatively plug and play swap, or will I have to do some cutting and and soldering? Any links or guides would be great

hope the mail wasnt unnecessarily confrontational btw Not at all. My Philips DVDR985 is STILL going strong. I still do not play ANYTHING in it. My cheapo Thomson DVD player plays everything AND converts NTSC<>PAL on the fly. :):):
