I'm not saying that WUP/G won't work with a 56k modem, only that using one puts one more obstacle in the troubleshooting path. Get it working with a slower modem, then try the fast one. If the modem is truely compatible, it will work.

Some 56k modems may not be able to gear down to the slow (300-1200) baud rates needed by TAP services, so I would recommend you find a 36k or slower modem for use with WU. The default initilization string should setup any compatible

The only light on modem is CS and the dip switches are set wo the modem will I'm not getting an "OK" from the modem so something is not working thru WUP. are 56K or 33.6K but there's nothing that's Server 2003 compatible slower.
