De Blaise is a band of long date friends, all living in Civitavecchia(Rome), united by the love for music. The band, formed in 1988, borrows its name from Cynthia Jane De Blaise, character gushed from the fervent fantasy of Peter Gabriel for the Genesis's song The musical Box. In the years the band changed various elements of the organic. The current line-up is the same since 1995 and features next to the founding members Paolo Gianfrate (Voice and keyboards) and Gianni Pierannunzio (Drums) the guitarist Marco Mattei and the bass player Duilio Galioto. The DeBlaise released two demo tapes, Equilibruim and By common consent positively reviewed by various musical magazines and fanzines (MetalShock, Paperlate, Nobody' s Land etc), and is currently working for the realization of a new cd. The main activity of the De Blaise remains however the live concerts in which,beyond introducing their own pieces, they play covers of their favourite bands like Rush, Genesis, King Crimson and Gentle Giant.
