CHI SONO
Ciao a tutti!!
Allora, vediamo un po’. E’ la prima volta che mi cimento con un “Chi Sono” e devo dire che non so da dove cominciare.
Una buona regola sarebbe quella di cominciare dall’inizio, giusto?
Quindi andiamo all’inizio.
Sono nata il 31 marzo 1978, e fin da subito sono stata folgorata dalla musica.
Il mio fratellone ascoltava i Metallica, i Queen, gli Slayer e tanti altri gruppi. Mia madre prevalentemente Beatles, Bob Dylan e Bruce Springsteen.
Diciamo che ho avuto un’educazione musicale eterogenea fin dai miei primi passi! Col passare del tempo
sono stata io a scegliere la musica che mi piaceva di più, e a portare a termine un percorso (di studi e non)
che mi permettesse di dar voce ad un’altra grande passione: le lingue straniere. Nel 2002 infatti mi sono laureata
a Ca’ Foscari in Anglo-americano e devo dire che è stata una gran bella soddisfazione.
Per quanto riguarda il qui e adesso devo dire che sono una persona dai diversi interessi.
Adoro gli animali e la natura (volevo diventare veterinaria, ma quando ho scoperto che avrei anche dovuto operare quelle bestiole....beh...).
Mi piace guidare, cucinare, viaggiare, nuotare (o mamma mia!), mi diverto a lavorare al computer
ma soprattutto a fare musica.
Ho imparato a suonare relativamente tardi, avevo circa 22 anni, ma questo non mi ha certo fermata.
Veramente io volevo suonare la batteria, ma non c’è stato verso di convincere i miei. Poi per scherzo, ho chiesto di ricevere un basso per natale.
Il basso è arrivato e da lì è cominciato tutto. Non riesco ancora a descrivere la sensazione che ho provato
quando l'ho preso in mano per la prima volta. Sapete quando si dice
che quando trovi la persona giusta senti dentro una
voce che dice "E' lui, è quello giusto"?
Ecco, la stessa cosa è successa col basso: "E' il mio strumento. E' quello che voglio fare".
E poi ho cominciato a piangere come una deficiente!!
Poi sono arrivati i gruppi (1x2, RST, Kajal, Messic's Tokyo...).
Concerti, fiere al fianco di mister Pierluigi Cazzola, conosciuto anche come Signor Laurus,
traduzioni per il sito di NoiBassisti (a proposito, fateci subito una scappata
perchè c'è gente fantastica), e così via.

Hi everybody!!!!
This is the first time I write something about myself on the net, and I really don’t know where to start!
A good rule would be to start from the beginning, right?
So let’s go back to the beginning.
I was born on the 31st March 1978, and I have been dazzled by music from day one.
My big brother used to listen to Metallica, Queen, Slayer, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd and many other bands.
My mother mainly Beatles, Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen. Let’s say that I’ve been given a very heterogeneous education since my toddler’s days!
As time passed by, I decided by myself which music I wanted to listen to,
and I also accomplished a journey (not only on books) which allowed me to give voice to another huge passion of mine: foreign languages.
In 2002 I became doctor in Anglo-American language and literature
in Ca’ Foscari university, Venice.
And I have to say it’s been a hell of an accomplishment!! Very satisfactory indeed.
As for the “here and now”, I would describe myself as a gal with many interests.
I adore animals and nature
(I actually wanted to become a vet, but when I came to now that I also had to operate on pets………, well….).
I enjoy driving, computers, cooking, travelling, swimming (oh my god… swimming…).
But most of all I peak when it comes to music.
I learned to play bass guitar quite late- I was almost 22- but that surely didn’t stop me.
At first I wanted to play drums, but couldn’t convince my parents at all.
Then, one day, as a joke, I asked them a bass for Christmas.
The bass arrived and that’s where it all began.
I still cannot describe the feeling I got the moment I picked it up.
You know what they say, that when somebody meets the right guy they think “He’s the one”?
Same here. I thought: “This is my instrument. This is what I want to do”.
And I started crying like an idiot!!!!
Then bands came
(1x2, RST, Kajal, Messic’s Tokyo…), concerts, fairs beside Mr Pierluigi Cazzola, a.k.a. Mr. Laurus,
translations for NoiBassisti’s website (by the way, go and visit it asap… they’re really great people),
and so on and so forth.
Well, folks. I think this is enough for now: I’ve reeeaally reached the bottom…
