Cesare Tubino

 

He born in Genova the 4 of May 1899.

He has attended the Academy of Genova from which he has been designated "Worthy Academician".

After having moved to Turin he has completed his artistic education attending the painter Cavalleri'studio.

In Turin he has produced his family: from the wife Ebe he has had three children: Libero, Agostino, Febo.

Im 1943, the son Libero, partisan combatant, fall for  the resistance movement and was decorated by the 

allied governement with the Medal of Freedom.

In 1960 on the occasion of a one-man show, the art critic Marziano Bernardi, wrote: "when he paints, 

following his temperament, he finds himself, not rarely, on Vittorio Cavalleri's track, who was his master  

and from whom he has inherited certain golden yellows and tender greens, and a vague romanticism in the 

landscape vision.

But when he enjoys himself in conterfaiting the old masters, he shows himself to have a diabolical 

ability"...." a gama,  a privateplesure, maybe an out of spite-and a small pride: that allows saying "it i 

would....". Fortunately Tubino "doesn't want".

      He died in Turin the 3 of october 1990.
