Una casa gialla, in un quartiere tranquillo
a pochi passi dalla stazione dei treni.
Una coppia simpatica che ama i viaggi
e la musica e che desidera aprire la propria
casa a nuovi amici.
Il nostro bed & breakfast è questo:
non tanto un’occasione d’affari quanto
un'occasione per incontrare nuove persone,
fare nuove esperienze.

Il nostro quartiere è stato massicciamente
bombardato durante la seconda guerra mondiale,
a causa della sua vicinanza alla stazione
ferroviaria. Molte delle sue casette liberty
e decò sono state rase al suolo, ma l'unica
casa che non è stata distrutta o danneggiata
è proprio quella che, 50 anni dopo, sarebbe
diventata casa nostra: una casetta costruita
artigianalmente lungo quello che allora
era un viottolo di campagna nei pressi
della chiesa di Sant'Antonino.
In quartiere è poi stato ricostruito con
la stessa tipologia edilizia ed è un tranquillo
quartiere residenziale a ridosso del centro.
La casa non solo è costruita solidamente,
come ha potuto dimostrare, ma è anche
fresca d'estate e calda d'inverno, grazie
allo spessore dei muri (è stata costruita
nel 1934).
I controsoffitti e i pavimenti sono dell'epoca:
i primi sono fatti con le arelle (canniccio)
com'era nell'uso veneziano, mentre il
pavimento è originario dell'epoca ed è
in larice.
La casa è stata recentemente ridipinta
in giallo vivo, un colore molto tipico
della pianura veneta, con le finestre
bordate di bianco e le imposte verdi.
Gli interni sono dipinti con colori vivaci
(vernici atossiche) e la stanza del B&B
è dipinta nei colori salmone e bianco.
Un albero di alloro che arriva fino al
tetto vivacizza la facciata e rinfresca
la casa.
Nel piccolo giardino una siepe di rose
vi accoglierà in primavera e d'autunno
potrete assaggiare i fichi del nostro
albero... Nel cortile, infine, cè anche
un posto auto.

yellow house, in a quiet boroughts just
steps away from the train station. Two
nice persons loving travelling and music,
willing to open their home to new friends.
This
is our bed & breakfast, meant not
only to be a business occasion, but to
be a chance to meet new people.

Our block was severely bombed by
the allied forces during 2nd World
War, and after that disaster there
was only a house that stood still
in the ruins: it was a nice little
house, handbuilt, just in the corner
of Saint Antony's church: that house,
50 years later, became our house.
Not only it is solidly built, but
it's also fresh in summer and warm
in winter, because it was built
in 1934 and the walls are very thick.
Ceilings are made of canes, following
the local venetian tradition.
The house has been recently repainted,
and it's bright, full yellow it's
a tipical color that paduans use
to give to houses and cottages in
tha countryside, as well as the
white border around windows which
is typical of this region.
A laurum tree stands in front of
the house, giving freshness in summer
and making tha facade of the building
more colorfull.
Inside, the rooms are painted with
vivid colors, and the guest room
is painted in salmon (kind of pink..)
The floor is made of wood, and it
is the original one that was put
by the original owner in the 30's.
In the garden, a blooming bush of
roses will welcome you in spring,
and in autumn you may want to taste
our fichis tree' fruits.
There's also room to park your car if you need so.
