How to revive your remote commander |
| Your remote control IS DEAD ? Do not worry ! Have you ever changed the cells ? :-) If the answer is YES , look the following tips. First of all you have to be sure that the internal oscillator is good . Get an am radio , turn it on , get your IRC closed to the radio and press a button on keyboard. Tune until you hear a sound generated from the IRC. ! can you hear it ? yes ? go to the statement # 2 ! No ? read # 1. # 1 The fact that you can hear nothing means that: - your internal oscillator is bad ,control and eventually substitute it with one of the same value (450-480 Khz). it's a little square box yellow or blue colored. have a look at #2 before. - your keyboard doesn't reply to touch because the inside conductive rubber is exhausted , go to #2 - Your chip is broken ( worst and unfrequently case), you can drop out your remote , buy a compatible one. # 2 So you can hear the sound .... : - Perhaps your keyboard is dusted , tidy up with water and a few soap (never use alcohol or other similar product) dry well ,keep on reading. - Probably ( the most frequent case) the conductive rubber inside your IRC is vanished , so you can re-generate it following these trips: Buy some graphit powder * (that is carbon powder) (look for it in a hardware shop) get a good point rounded-match , rub some very few powder on each rubber button , pay attention ! leaving too much powder on your controller will make it to go crazy and change your TV-channel by it self. So, do not exaggerate. - Perhaps the ir led or the final transistor are broken, so control them and even substitute both . Have you read all this text and never finded answers to your problems .............PUT it in the Garbage box and buy a compatible one ! :-) * WHAT CAN YOU DO WITH A PENCIL A PART FROM WRITING ?............DISCOVER IT ! |

How to modify your FM radio to listen 144 MHZ |
|
Get an FM RADIO (88-108) with telescopic antenna. Inside you will find 2 or 3 coil (with 4-6 turns) on air, one of that has a less number of turns, it' s the local oscillator coil (98-118 MHz) . Now you have to get up the frequency of the radio by eliminating 2 or 3 turns from each coil . So you will receive the (120-150) MHz band. After then use a Grid dip Oscillator (tuned on 150) to set the received frequency adjust the main capacitor's trimmers ( 2 for FM) until you hear the GDO SIGNAL .Ensure that antenna is fully extended (preferably in outdoor). If you don't have a GDO do as above but search for some signal different from fm broadcasting , if you are lucky you will find some transmitting station or repeating station with 1700 Khz tone . Note that you should make the antenna longer if there's no signal at all and get out of your home to get best reception. You will hear the signal at a very low level than fm band because the 144 band is more narrow than fm. Good listening ! |
