10th, 2003 - A wonderful news for the fans of Alessandro Zanardi,
today in a press conference during the Motorshow in Bologna (Italy) Alessandro
confirmed that he will race the whole European Touring Car Championship next
year!
"Next year I will race full-time in the European Touring Car
Championship with a BMW of the Team Ravaglia", said Alessandro, "It
was not easy: the programme was not existing and was born after my return at
Monza. In a little time the third car for me was found, we are almost ready,
next monday or tuesday I should go to Valencia for the tests".
Alessandro revealed to have received a very interesting proposal from Honda
America: "They asked me to take part to the Indy 500 but I think that
at a so high level my career is over".
During the press conference Zanardi presented his 2004 calendar, the whole proceeds
will be given to charity for an hospital for children in Massa Carrara (Italy):
"For the sick children having the parents beside them every day is
very important. In this way we can create a reception that will allow the
parents to stay with them without outlay".
