Alcune etichette presentano delle pieghe.
Si tratta di quelle etichette di plastica molto sottile (si arrotolano facilmente e per questo sono difficili da maneggiare) con la superficie lucida e di forma generalmente ovale, spesso disposte orizzontalmente (Fig.1), meno comunemente verticali (Fig.2) e solo molto raramente in diagonale (Fig. 3).
Vi sono due tipi di pieghe: quelle diagonali (Fig. 4 e 5) e quelle verticali od orizzontali (Fig.6 e 7).
Per mettere in evidenza la piega basta muovere l'etichetta davanti ad una fonte luminosa, quando l'etichetta riflette la luce la piega diventa evidente (Fig.da 4 a 7).
La piega si forma poiché le etichette (durante il preocesso di produzione) sono poste su due bande di carta di supporto separate da un piccolo spazio (Fig. 8).
Rispetto alle due bande le etichette possono essere poste a 90° (Fig.6 e 7) oppure diagonalmente (Fig.4 e 5).
Nel primo caso vi è un solo tipo mentre nel secondo si hanno 2 tipi: piega a sinistra o piega a destra.
Per evitare confusioni si valuta la posizione della piega ponendo il lato lungo dell'etichetta in orizzontale senza tenere conto della disposizione del testo ed osservando se la piega è rivolta a sinistra (Fig. 5), a destra (Fig. 4), in verticale (Fig.6) o in orizzontale (Fig.7).
In questo sito quando si fa riferimento alle pieghe queste vengono rappresentate con i seguenti simboli:
\ = piega a sinistra
/ = piega a destra
| = piega verticale
–  = piega orizzontale

Some stickers have a wrinkle.
It is a matter of those plastic stickers very thin (they rolls up easily and for this reason they are difficult to handle), they have a shining surface and generally are oval in shape, often with an horizontal text (Fig.1), less commonly vertical (Fig.2) and only very rarely in diagonal (Fig. 3). There are two kind of wrinkle: diagonals (Fig. 4 and 5) and vertical or horizontal (Fig.6 and 7).

In order to put in evidence the wrinkle it is enough to move the sticker in front of a luminous source, when the sticker reflects the light the wrinkle becomes evident (Fig.da 4 to 7).
The wrinkles shape because the stickers (during the production process) have been placed on two bands of support paper separated from a small space (Fig. 8). Regarding the two bands the stickers can be placed at 90° (Fig.6, 7 and 8) or diagonally (Fig.4 and 5).
In the first case there is a single type while in the second 2 types are present: wrinkle on the left or wrinkle on the right. In order to avoid confusions estimate the position of the wrinkle placing horizontally the long side of the sticker without keeping in account the disposition of the text and observing if the wrinkle is turned on the left (Fig. 5), on the right (Fig. 4), or is vertical (Fig.6) or horizontal (Fig.7).

In this site when we refer to the wrinkles position these are represented with the following symbols:
