Palazzo della ragione is the most ancient building in Piazza Vecchia. It was built in the 12th century when the front was on the other side, facing the little Piazza del Duomo, and later modified becoming what it can be seen now. In the hall (it's open only during some exhibtions) you can find 14th and 15th century frescoes.
