Anyone wishing to assist in the development of the CV Library data base can do so by filling in the enclosed form and following the below instructions. Using the below form helps us create a standardized Archive Script in Java format which should also save you some typing and thinking. Then you can just cut and paste this info and send it along with the associated photos to the webmaster who will set it up on the web site.

Procedure: fill in all data in the form below. Once you are done with the first CV input, just click on "add this line" and you will see a script code generated below. If you have a second or third input, click on the clear button to erase the previous info on the form, fill it out again, and once again click on "add this line", which will place the additional code below. Repeat the procedure for as many cvs as you wish. Once all the codes have been generated, Click on " Copy lines to clipboard ", which copies the script code to the clipboard. Then click on "send mail" and in the content area, paste (from edit menu) the script codes and attach the associated photos. When the web master receives this script and photos, he will set it up on the web site, and it will be entered into the Archive data base.

Note: We wish to emphasize to those entering information in the Cultivar Section of the World Hibiscus Library that such entry or entries do not constitute registration, nor does it provide reservation or acceptance of a particular name. This activity is a continuing function of the AuHS as the ICRA in the hibiscus realm and you may access the appropriate on line hibiscus registration forms at the following link: http://www.geocities.com/auhibsoc/ira/applic.html Persons or other entities who wish to register or reserve a particular name are hereby advised to do so with the appropriate registrars.

Cultivar registration requires international cooperation, especially for plant groups like hibiscus that involve hundreds of hybridizers and breeding centers located in different countries around the world. Any mechanism that can gather information and pass this on to a central collecting point (ICRA) for re-dissemination is an activity supported by the World Hibiscus Library.
