GENERALITY The HD Skates CE tape is in modified PTFE an
treated so as to allow it to be stick on. It is used as a protection for
the guidance skates of tool machines where it performs an anti-friction
and anti-wear action.
FEATURES
It is autolubricant and can work in the absence of
lubrication where sludge may tend tu accumulate.
Very low friction co-efficient, particularly
the static-friction co-efficient is pratically identical to the dinamic
one.
Minimal wear.
It can be easily ground.
Damps knocks and vibrations.
The tape and its adhesive are compatible to all the
lubricants and cooling fluids.
Easily cementable using a specific bicomponent
RTV - VRN adhesive.
Sticking instructions The tape surface is ready for sticking and must
not be handled, at most it could be cleaned with chlorothene (perchloroetylene),
or better still, with acetone. The metal surfaces (better if they have
just been on dry operation) must be completely free of traces of oxidation
and greases, the oil-soaked cast iron must be flame-treated so as to carbonize
any residuals and the washed with chlorothene.
Do not dry with compressed air which is often
contaminated with oil and water condensation. Work in clean and dry surrondings,
the components must be at least at room temperature so as to avoid the
formation of condensation.
Preparation of the glue: Carefully mix the hardener
and the adhesive in the following proportions: 50 parts of VRN hardener
to 100 parts RTV adhesive.
At room temperature the "Pot-Life" of the glue
is approximately 2 h.
Spread the adhesive out in the quantity of about
200 g/m2 and apply a light pressure (max. 0,1-0,3 Kg/cm2).

When hardening has been completed, the HD Skate CE
