• he must have made an impact in people’s lives, as the memorial service held on Saturday in Edmonton, was expected to be family and a few friends. There were hundreds there. Former colleagues and students, family and friends all came from all over North America to pay tribute. My kids were very impressed

GOODALE, Denis

It is with great gratitude and deep sorrow that we announce the unexpected passing of Denis Goodale in Vancouver, BC on August 11, 2019. He will be lovingly remembered by Dorothy, his wife of 70 years; his children, Valerie, Diane, Janet, Rob (Karen), Spencer (Melonie); grandchildren, Morgan (Devin), Tamara, Caitlin (Trevor), Karl and Maria; and his great-grandchildren, Aidan, Melody and Peyton. Denis was predeceased by his siblings, Rohana and Philip; his son-in-law, Willie; and grandchildren, Meryl Ann and Lawren. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, August 24, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Connelly-McKinley Funeral Home, 10011 114 Street NW, Edmonton. Donations in memory of Denis may be sent to The Salvation Army, PO Box 1292, Edmonton, AB, T5J 2M8.
