The book I read talks about a guy,
Forrest Gump, who’s an idiot as he says.
He
runs very fast and so he enters in the football team of an High school .
Then he meets a guy, Bubba, and they will fight together in the Vietnam’s
war . Every episode is linked to the other: after being in Vietnam he met
the president, he went to prison, into a NASA spaceship, he played chess with some of
the greatest players. At the end of this he started working as a
shrimper and became very rich; then he decided to come back home and meet
his mum and his best friend Jenny (but they met other times during the
story ). The girl has got married and she had a child :Forrest will know
that he’s his son . |

Description:
Forrest
Gump = the main character. He’s an idiot, as he says,
He travelled all around the U.S. His best friends are Jenny Curran,
a girl from his town.
Jenny
Curran = Forrest’s best
friend. They have known since they where children. She was playing in a
group: the Broken eggs. Sue
= An ape and is the other
Forrest’s best friend. They met into a space ship.
Bubba
= Another friend of Forrest; he’s a nigger. They met in the College
Football
team; he taught Forrest how to play harmonica. Bubba will die during the
war in Vietnam.
Mr Tribble= An
old man with whom Forrest played chess becoming his friend. They’ll
work toghether shrimping and They’ll become rich.

I
think this book demonstrates that an idiot like Forrest can be really
clever and that he could make all the things “normal” people do ,
maybe better. Maybe they’re also better – hearted than us . |
